The Norden we are most familiar with was started by Carl L. Norden in 1943 as The Norden Laboratories Corporation. NLC was established at Varrick Street in New York in 1943, totally separate from the Carl L. Norden Corp. which was busy manufacturing with neither time nor sponsors for research and development.
